Unicity Japan Donates to Build New Schoolhouse in Rural Thailand


Pimchanok is speechless—which is saying a lot considering she’s in first grade. She stands in awe just inside her new classroom at Ban Wang Hai School in the Nong Bua Lamphu Province of Thailand. She can smell the fresh bright pink paint and is bathed in the bright sunlight that is streaming through the windows.

“My new classroom is painted pink! I like it. It feels good when I look at it,” is all Pimchanok eventually says. Until today, Pimchanok’s classroom was a thatched-roof temporary classroom, which was dusty and hot on most days and damp during the rainy season.

Pimchanok is one of 106 students from kindergarten to grade 12 that, until now, crowded together in the few rooms of the old Ban Hai School building.To read the rest of the story, click here!
